Platonic Relationships Part 2

So i continue.

I hanged out with her to watch Iron man.

She said she just wanted companionship.

A friend told me i’m doomed for a heartache by still hanging out with her because i still have feelings for her.

Platonic relationships are only possible if there are no romantic feelings involved.

I think that’s pretty accurate.

It’s just that we have a pretty good friendship going. I think it will be a shame to let go of it.

But the feelings just get in the way.

She’s leaving the firm at the end of this month. Maybe that’s how i will get over her since I won’t be seeing her at work anymore.

Out of sight, out of mind?

I wonder how often we will still be hanging out after she leaves. I mean law school is pretty hectic yes?

I guess my fear is one day i’ll find out she’ll be dating someone in law school or something. and then hooks up with him. I mean, I could have been that person.

I think that’s the time this relationship will get really awkward for me. She’s cynical about love, afraid of getting hurt and all. And then out of nowhere, you find out she’s attached.

I think that will make me think, it’s really all about me, not her.

I mean, I ain’t rich, I have no car, I’m no hunk.

You see, I’m dating sort of a princess kind. She wants to be the center of your life. Wine, dine, and treat her royally.

Which is weird, because in theory, i wouldn’t date her kind.

But ya, she’s gorgeous, smart and can be real sweet. Even her bitchiness is alluring. lol

And we get along well despite our clashes of values at times.

Sigh.

Maybe time will help me once again.
